- Pressing the STOP-key did not always stop movements in the GRINDING mode.
- For small increments of 0.01 mm you needed to press down the encoder knob AND press the FN-key.
  This is improved now, you only need to press FN now, no more need to hold down the encoderknob.

- Tapered threads are now possible. The parameter menu of the thread modes offer a new parameter "Cone Ratio". If this is set to something larger than 1:0 the thread is cut as tapered thread.
  Common cone ratios are 1:16 for example.
- In Taper mode there is a new parameter Cone Ratio too, alloweing to cut cones exactly needed for tapered threads.
  If you set ZP and XP, the ELS calculates the cone ratio for you.
  If you change the cone ration, the ELS recalculates XP
  If you change ZP with a given Cone ratio, you can change the length of your cone without changing the angle, very handy.
- In Gearbox L or R mode the X-Axis is deactivated so you can use the handwheel manually. If you stop the gear mode you can drive X axis by the jog keys, the axis is activated automatically.
  Deactivation follows as soon as you activate gearbox mode again.
- The P0 key sets the values in the parameter menu to 0 or to a default value.

- AUX4 will change to HIGH (3,3V) for 1 second after an operation is finished or aborted. With this signal you can stop a frequence converter. However, observer that the AUX-Outputs only can drive 10 mA at 3,3V, so you will need to add a buffer and transtistor for driving loads like a relay etc.
- Grinding mode can now also drive the X-Axis. As long as XP<0 the X-Axis is driven, allowing for selecting the number of passes before the operation starts.This is nice for automatic grinding but also for keyslots, as it is possible to start thise operation when the spindle is off.
- The GROOVE-Mode is rewritten and now allows all kind of grooves: Circular and elliptical grooves are now possible. In the parameter menu is a new option for "X Offset" of the groove: It allows for shoving the contour into the material (negative offset) or outside the material (positive offset.This allows for shallow or extra deep circular grooves.
In the old version of this mode it was necessary to move the cutter into the material at full depth, which was heavy load for small machine. This is now changed, it removes material in small steps now, similar to normal turning mode. After the roughing cycles are done it finishes the whole contour.

- The return movement was changed so that the screw and nut are locked before the fast feed return ist started.
- Switching the ELS on while the spindle is running does work now!
- The internal step generator is now clocked with the maximum needed frequency, this reduces system load.

10.08 30.10.2018
- The feed speed for finishing could get a large value after an update of the software. This is fixed the finishing feed is now maximum of 5mm/U.
- A small error in the function to take over the current position of an axis into the endposition (ZP or XP) with the P0-Key is fixed. This is used to easily fill in the current position into ZP or XP. It workd, but as soon as the user wanted to change that value it jumped to zero. That is fixed now.

- An error could lead to a creash when the spindle was on directly after startup, this is fixed.
- An error in angle mode messed up the display, this is also fixed.

- New mode GROOVE: You can cut a circular groove with a setable depth.
  Important: Only possible with round cutters! Always set the cutter radius in the submenu.



10.06

- New parameter submenu in many modes. The Submenu allows for easy change of common cutting parameters like
  Light feed, Tool corner radius etc.
  It is accessible by pressing FN + DOWN
  Exit is by pressing FN, or by navigating higher than the first entry.
  All settings visible there are also available in the normal system settings.

- A slower light feed is now available in the parameter menu, it is possible to set a percentage of the normal
  feed speed or a discrete speed in mm/U. This allowes for fast roughing and slow finishing

- New Drilling mode! With a drill in the tollholder you can now drill exact holes too.
  The new parameter submenu allows for selecting how to retract, total retraction or chip break.
  Depth of cut, chip break retracts and dwell time is also available as setting.

- There are now 4 threading strategies available, the submenu in the thread modes allows for changing the parameters:
   - Radial infeed
   - Alternate flank
   - Flank infeed
   - Modified flank infeed
   Until this version the radial infeed was the only way, which resultes in heavy loads on small machines.
   We recommend using the flank infeed, which cuts only on the left flank of the cutter.
   To do this right it is need to set the thread angle correctly in the submenu! Metric threads have 60,

In the inner-cutting modes like Boring, Internal thread etc. it is now also possible to drive the x-axis to a position. The x axis stops at zero and at the position entered fr XP, just like in all other modes.



10.01  10.06.2018

- Saving of the Feed-Settings is changed to limit the number of write cycles.
- The positions of X and Z is now saved for every mode until power down of the unit. Now the ELS shows positions for every mode, so you can easily switch from mode to mode without the need of reentering the desired positions.
